USDT exists on multiple blockchains. The token name is the same, but addresses, fees and infrastructure differ. The recipient must support the exact network selected by the sender.
TRC20 runs on Tron and is widely used for transfers between exchanges and wallets. ERC20 is the Ethereum standard with broad compatibility, while fees depend on network demand. BEP20 runs on BNB Smart Chain. TON uses The Open Network and a separate address format.
Before sending, open the recipient deposit page, select USDT and verify the network name. Compare the network, address format and minimum deposit. A small test transaction can reduce the cost of an error.
Do not identify a network only by the first characters of an address. Several EVM networks use the same 0x format even though they are different blockchains.
